Floridan Tampa Bay -alueen järvestä nostetusta autosta löytynyt vainaja on tunnistettu Apryl Fosteriksi, 33, joka katosi helmikuun puolivälissä 2015. Hän oli kotoisin Floridan osavaltion Brandonin kaupungista.
Hillsboroughin piirikunnan poliisilaitos kertoi tiedotusvälineille, että vainaja tunnistettiin sormenjälkien perustella Apryl Fosteriksi.
Viranomaiset eivät epäile tähän kuolemantapaukseen liittyvän rikosta.
Apryl Fosterin perhe kertoi Kymppi uutisille pitävänsä muistotilaisuuden ja juhlistavansa Aprylin muistoa ennen paluutaan takaisin kotiin Texasin osavaltioon.
Hautajaiset järjesteään perheen toiveiden mukaisesti, ja ilmoitetaan myöhempänä ajankohtana.

Aiemmin sunnuntai-iltana Hillsboroughin piirikunnan poliisilaitoksen toimeksiannosta sukeltajat tutkivat järveen vajonnutta autoa.
On kulunut tasan 10 päivää siitä, kun Brandonin kaupngissa asuva Apryl Foster oli viimeksi nähty Ybor Cityssä. Poliisi vahvisti vedestä nostetun auton kuuluvan Apryl Fosterille.
Apryl oli järveen vajonneessa autossa yksin.

BRANDON, FLA. (WTSP Tampa) UPDATE: Investigators have positively identified the body found in a car pulled from a Tampa Bay-area lake as being Apryl Foster, the Brandon woman who's been missing for over a week.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says they were able to identify Foster using fingerprints.
Deputies say they don't suspect foul play in Foster's death.
Meanwhile, Apryl Foster's family told 10 News they are going to celebrate her life in Tampa Bay, before her parents go back to Texas.
Tampa police said they will inform the public about funeral plans for Foster when her parents arrange them and notify them.

Earlier Sunday evening, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office divers were on the scene of an underwater vehicle recovery.
Just 10 days after Apryl Foster--the missing Brandon woman--was last seen in Ybor City, police have confirmed that the submerged vehicle is in fact, her car.
There was a single victim recovered in the car.
The clothing of the victim matches what Apryl Foster was last seen wearing when she disappeared.
The medical examiner will officially identify the victim found in Apryl's submerged car.

The car was found a half mile away from where Apryl lives.
Foster has Southwest Florida ties where she worked at the Lani Kai on Fort Myers Beach.
Major James Burton, Commander of the Special Investigations Division, held a press conference Sunday to speak on what police found.
Foster's father expressed his gratitude to everyone that shared her information, "We want to thank the police department, the media, and everyone. We miss our girl..."
Her mother discussed the idea of possibly having a celebration of life for her at a later time.
Struggling to hold back tears her mother described how she was feeling at the moment, "We just know she's with Jesus now. We are so thankful because, for me, I just couldn't imagine not having closure with something like this. We know she is looking at the eyes of Jesus."
Her mother went on to explain that during the investigation, she felt like doing more, "Sometimes you want to get in the way but we found out that as we listened to their [police's] wisdom and their guidance, we were able to get out of their way."
Police have been working tirelessly to solve this case and though the medical examiner has not yet confirmed that it is in fact Apryl's body, her parents have accepted the fact that it may very well be.
Tampa Police officials said they have no reason to believe that it is not Apryl's body.
