Täysin käsittämättömän kamalaa ja hirveää. Ainoa hyvä asia on se, että tämäkin juttu tuotiin lopulta päivänvaloon. Kaikki tällaiset olisi skandaalin peloista huolimatta etsittävä, tutkittava ja syylliset tuomittava. Ihmisissä tuntuu olevan varsinaisia petoja, ja saastaisi sikoja.
Mitä vielä on löytymättä ja selvittämättä! Kukaan ei saisi kyllä ummistaa silmiään, vaan jokaisen olisi puututtava tapahtumiin heti, jos huomaa jotakin epäilyttävää.

Jerseyn saarella sijaitsevan Haut de la Garennen orpokodin asukkaat luulivat pääsevänsä retkelle, mutta henkilökunta oli päättänyt toisin. Totuus selvisi vasta paikan päällä: orpokoti lainasi lapsia pedofiilien "raiskausristeilyiksi" kutsutuille venematkoille.
Sääntöihin kuului, että lapsi haettiin aamulla, palautettiin illalla ja päivän aikana hänelle sai tehdä mitä halusi.
Niin kävikin - useat lähteet ovat kertoneet poliisille lasten päätyneen rikkaiden, keski-ikäisten pedofiilien pahoinpitelemiksi, huumaamiksi ja lopulta raiskatuiksi. Tämän jälkeen lapset palautettiin takaisin orpokotiin.
"Flipperivelho" heitti lapsia seinään
News of the World -lehden mukaan koko päivän kestäneet "raiskausristeilyt" olivat Jerseyllä julkinen salaisuus - koska asialla oli saaren vaikutusvaltainen purjehtijaporukka, ei asiaan haluttu puuttua.
Tähän saakka kauhujen taloksi ristitystä Haut de la Garennesta on löytynyt muun muassa tusina luita, jotka on lähetetty eteenpäin dna-tutkimuksia varten. Verta on löydetty muun muassa kidutuskammioiksi kutsutuista huoneista sekä rakennuksen viemäreistä.
News of the World -lehden mukaan jälkiä peittelivät tahtomattaan myös orpokodin saneeraukseen osallistuneet rakennusmiehet. He saivat henkilökunnalta käskyn polttaa luut, "jos niitä löytyy".
Vaikka rikostutkimusten uskotaan kestävän vielä useita vuosia, epäiltyjä on jo nyt kymmeniä. Heidän joukossaan on muun muassa kauhua herättänyt, "flipperivelhoksi" kutsuttu hoitaja, jolla oli tapana heittää lapsia seinään ja seurata, kuinka pitkälle nämä pomppasivat.
Uusien, viikonloppuna paljastuneiden karmeuksien uskotaan kuitenkin olevan vasta alkua.

Näinpä juuri. En muuten usko hetkeäkään, että tuo lastenkodin johtajatar ei muka olisi nähnyt tai tiennyt mistään mitään. Miten hitossa se olisi mahdollista? Ei ole vaan sattunut koskaan vierailemaan kellarin uima-allastiloissa? Ei ole ihmetellyt lastenkodissa säännöllisesti vierailevia miehiä? Ei ole huomannut, että lapset lähtevät vieraiden miesten kanssa risteilyille?

Jerseyn poliisi kertoi löytäneensä myös luun kappaleita.
Haut de la Garennen entistä lastenkotia Jerseyn saarella on tutkittu helmikuusta lähtien, kun sen portaiden alta löytyi lapsen ruumiin jäännökset. Tänään Jerseyn poliisi kertoi rikosarkeologien löytäneen rakennuksen kellarista kaksi maitohammasta ja luun tutkiessaan aluetta vainukoirien avulla.
- Tässä vaiheessa emme ole varmoja, onko luu peräisin ihmisestä vai eläimestä, ja se lähetetään Britanniaan tutkimuksiin, poliisin edustaja ilmoitti lausunnossaan.
- Hampaat voivat olla peräisin samalta lapselta, vaikka asian selvittämiseksi tarvitaan lisää testejä samoin kuin sen, kuinka hampaat ovat löytöpaikkaan päätyneet.
Yli 160 orpokodin entistä asukasta on väittänyt laitoksen henkilökunnan pahoinpidelleen heitä ja käyttäneen heitä seksuaalisesti hyväkseen. Viranomaiset epäilevät myös joidenkin lasten joutuneen murhatuiksi.
Lastenkodin kellarista on löytynyt useita huoneita, joissa lastenkodin työntekijät ja vieraat ilmeisesti kiduttivat uhrejaan. Eräästä rangaistushuoneesta löytyi ihmisen verta sekä seinään kaiverrettu kirjoitus "Olen ollut paha vuosien ajan". Lisäksi huoneessa oli salaovi sekä kahleita.
Lasten hyväksikäyttöä epäillään tapahtuneen Jerseyn saarella muissakin orpokodeissa 1950-luvulta aina vuoteen 2003 saakka.

Police have excavated a network of underground chambers, finding items including shackles and a bath which they say may corroborate claims from victims who talk of punishment rooms."

Police say a skull fragment found in February probably pre-dates 1940.
However, they said their investigation remained a possible murder inquiry.
Meanwhile, Deputy Police Chief Lenny Harper said it was not clear at this stage whether there was an innocent explanation for the bloodied items, details of which have not been released.
He said: "In the last few days in cellars three and four we've found a number of blood-stained items.
"I would hesitate to assign a sinister motive to those, we just don't know, there may possibly be an innocent explanation for them.

"But the fact remains that, with the dogs' assistance and the good work of the forensic examiners, we are still finding items which are of possible significance to the inquiry so it must go on."

Police are continuing to excavate a network of four underground rooms which have been uncovered.
They have found a number of items, including shackles and a bath, which they say corroborate claims from victims.
One person has been charged in connection with allegations of abuse at the former children's home.
The home's former warder, Gordon Claude Wateridge, 76, has been charged with three offences of indecent assault on girls aged under 16 between 1969 and 1979.
He has appeared before St Helier Magistrates' Court and was released on conditional bail until 12 May.
However, there are believed to be more than 40 suspects in the overall inquiry."
