Death of 13 lambs at farm described as 'shocking crime' by police

A police officer has described the death of 13 lambs in Rostrevor, County Down as a "shocking crime".

The animals were found dead on a farm on the Drumsesk Road and are believed to have been killed sometime between 19:00 GMT on Friday and 07:45 GMT on Saturday.

Insp Reynolds said: "It appears that their necks had been deliberately broken.

"We would be keen to hear from anyone who noticed anything unusual in the area during the times above."
